About the Company

Armada is an edge computing startup that provides computing infrastructure to remote areas where connectivity and cloud infrastructure is limited, as well as areas where data needs to be processed locally for real-time analytics and AI at the edge. We’re looking to bring on the most brilliant minds to help further our mission of bridging the digital divide with advanced technology infrastructure that can be rapidly deployed anywhere.

About the role

Armada is planning rapid expansion to meet accelerated customer demand. We are seeking an experienced Senior Logistics Specialist to lead and streamline all aspects of our domestic and international modular data center shipping operations.

This role goes beyond shipment execution. You will design and operate a resilient global supply chain that powers modular data centers in some of the world’s most challenging environments. From high density power requirements in European hubs to complex maritime corridors in the Middle East, you will ensure infrastructure arrives rack ready, compliant, and secure.

You will be responsible for strategic carrier management, global freight coordination, and trade compliance, ensuring Armada’s products move reliably, efficiently, and cost effectively across the globe.

Location: This role is office-based at our Bellevue, Washington office.

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)

  • Global Supply Chain Orchestration: Design and execute a control tower logistics strategy for modular data centers, ensuring seamless movement from factory to deployment across the United States, EMEA, and MENA regions.
  • Geopolitical Risk Mitigation: Proactively manage maritime and terrestrial chokepoints by developing diversified routing strategies and multimodal contingency plans to ensure continuity of operations.
  • Infrastructure Ready Logistics: Lead the specialized transport of high value and oversized assets, including high density server racks, cooling units, and sensitive satellite communications hardware, ensuring full equipment integrity upon arrival.
  • Trade Compliance Leadership: Serve as the subject matter expert for EU dual use regulations and complex Middle Eastern import and export requirements, ensuring timely and compliant customs clearance for regulated technology.
  • Sustainability and ESG Integration: Implement green logistics protocols to track and reduce the carbon intensity of hardware deployments, supporting Armada’s commitment to net zero infrastructure.
  • High Stakes Vendor Management: Manage a global network of fourth party and third party logistics partners, driving industry leading service level agreements through automated performance dashboards and structured quarterly business reviews.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: Eight or more years of principal level experience in hardware logistics within hyperscale data centers, telecommunications, aerospace, or similarly complex infrastructure environments.
  • Domain Expertise: Deep technical knowledge of out of gauge cargo shipping and the transportation of sensitive electronics requiring climate controlled and vibration dampened handling.
  • Geographic Proficiency: Demonstrated success navigating regulatory and logistical requirements across the Middle East, including GCC countries, and the European Union.
  • Technical Stack: Advanced experience with AI driven transportation management systems, ERP platforms such as NetSuite or SAP S 4HANA, and predictive analytics tools including Power BI or Tableau.
  • Certifications: APICS CSCP or CLTD certification is highly preferred. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification is a plus for process optimization.
  • Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex logistical risks and tradeoffs into clear, actionable insights for executive leadership.
