About the Company

Armada is the hyperscaler for the edge, delivering modular AI infrastructure from first deployment to AI factory with speed, scale and sovereignty. Named one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies and to the CNBC Disruptor 50, Armada’s solutions are deployed in over 60 countries globally for organizations ranging from energy to defense.

With nearly $500 million in funding to date, Armada is backed by leading investors including Founders Fund, Lux, BlackRock and Microsoft (M12), alongside strategic partnerships with Microsoft, Dell, Palantir, NVIDIA, SpaceX, and Skydio. We are building the infrastructure layer for sovereign and edge AI - rugged, deployable compute for customers that cannot rely on centralized cloud.

Working at Armada means taking ownership, driving autonomy, and delivering impact. You’ll tackle challenges that haven’t been solved before and help build something transformative from the ground up. What you do here will not only define your career but help further Armada’s mission to bridge the digital divide for customers around the world.

About the Role

Armada is building the definitive industrial edge platform — combining connectivity, compute, and AI to solve customers' hardest problems at the source of their data. Public sector — spanning defense, federal agencies, and national security — is one of the fastest-growing segments we serve, and one where deals are won face to face: on the show floor, in mission-focused briefings, and during field activations.

This is a builder role. As a generalist right hand to the Head of Events, you'll own field marketing execution across trade shows, roadshows, public sector programs, and customer events — while also rolling up your sleeves on whatever the function needs. There is no large team behind you and no inherited playbook. You bring operational rigor, tight sales alignment, and the kind of ownership that doesn't wait to be asked.

Please note that this role is a temp-to-hire position. Strong performers will be considered for full-time placement at the end of the contract period. This role is eligible for overtime.

Location. This role is remote-based on the continental US.

What You'll Do

Execute the Field Marketing Calendar

  • Own end-to-end logistics for trade shows, executive dinners, roadshows, customer forums, agency roundtables, and field activations — venue coordination, vendor management, shipping, staffing, and run of show. You drive demand generation through every format you touch.

Lead Public Sector Field Programs

  • Design and execute public-sector-appropriate event formats — mission-focused briefings, tech demo days, agency roundtables, and executive breakfasts — that comply with government ethics and procurement norms while building trusted relationships with program and acquisition stakeholders.
  • Build the field calendar around government buying cycles — driving pipeline programs that peak ahead of federal year-end (September 30) and state budget windows, capitalizing on use-it-or-lose-it spending opportunities.

Own Trade Show Operations

  • Manage all exhibitor portals: submissions, deadlines, booth assignments, labor orders, sponsorship deliverables, and compliance requirements. You know these systems and nothing falls through the cracks.

Activate Regional Field Programs

  • Coordinate roadshows, lunch-and-learns, Galleon tours, partner co-marketing events, and field activations across commercial and public sector audiences — managing timelines, vendors, and logistics from kickoff through debrief.

Drive Pipeline Through Sales Alignment

  • Work shoulder-to-shoulder with Sales and BDRs on pre-event account targeting, during-event engagement, and post-event follow-up. Set up lead capture flows, brief reps on messaging, and deliver clean lead lists to Sales and Demand Gen within 24 hours of each event.

Build Co-Marketing & Partner Programs

  • Develop joint field programs with the public sector channel ecosystem — systems integrators, resellers, distributors, and contract-vehicle holders — including joint events, teaming-oriented content, and partner-sourced pipeline.

Collaborate Cross-Functionally

  • Partner with Content & Communications, Design, and Demand Gen on assets, collateral, ABM programs, and pre/post-event nurture. You're the connective tissue that keeps multiple workstreams and deadlines on track simultaneously.

Track, Report & Build Playbooks

  • Maintain event scorecards covering pipeline influence, meetings set, cost per lead, and ROI. Build the operational playbooks, trackers, and post-event workflows that let Armada scale programs with speed and consistency.

Keep Armada Event-Ready

  • Own inventory of booth graphics, demo gear, swag, and printed materials. Coordinate refurbishments and reorders with Design and vendors proactively, not reactively.

Support the Head of Events

  • Be the utility player the function needs — research, vendor outreach, budget tracking, last-minute problem solving, and anything in between. You thrive with ambiguity, take ownership without being asked, and bring structure to chaos.

Travel & On-Site Commitment

  • This role requires significant travel — approximately 40–60% of the time — including evenings, weekends, and back-to-back shows. You bring the same professionalism and energy on day five of a show as you do on day one. Travel is not a perk here; it's core to the job.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years in B2B field marketing, demand generation, or event management for a tech company — with hands-on ownership of both strategy and execution.
  • Generalist field marketing skill set — you've driven pipeline through trade shows, roadshows, executive events, ABM programs, and integrated digital campaigns.
  • Tight sales alignment experience — you've worked directly with AEs and BDRs on account targeting, pre-event outreach, and post-event follow-up to convert pipeline.
  • Hands-on experience managing trade show exhibitor portals (Freeman, Cvent, Experient, or similar) — deadlines, forms, and fine print included.
  • Proven track record executing events end to end without a large team; 0-to-1 builder DNA with operational rigor to match.
  • Superior organizational skills — detailed trackers, zero missed deadlines, five workstreams in the air without dropping one.
  • Strong vendor management and budgeting skills with a negotiate-like-it's-your-own-money mindset.
  • Comfortable with executives, technical SMEs, and government stakeholders; polished on-site presence.
  • Fully available for significant travel, long hours, evenings, and weekends — non-negotiable.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct public sector field marketing experience — you've built and run programs targeting federal agencies, defense, or national security audiences as a primary segment, not as an occasional add-on.
  • Familiarity with government procurement cycles, ethics rules, and acquisition norms that shape how you design and execute public sector programs.
  • Background in industrial edge, energy, space, enterprise infrastructure, or AI/ML tech.
  • Experience building event playbooks, ROI dashboards, and scalable field marketing processes from scratch.
  • Existing relationships within public sector associations, systems integrators, or the defense ecosystem.
  • Proficiency with virtual event platforms or hybrid event production.
  • Ability to set up lightweight AV or demo environments on site.
