Title: Communications (PR & AR) ContractorReporting Manager: Head of MarketingLocation: SF Bay Area or Remote, US-basedHours: Part-time, up to 10 hours per week (6-month contract)Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Communications Contractor to assist our Head of Marketing with public relations (PR) and analyst relations (AR) activities. This role is ideal for a proactive communicator who is adept at managing diverse tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:- Public Relations: Assist with the execution of our PR strategies. Draft press releases, media briefs, and other communication materials. Develop stories and bylines for thought leadership pieces. Help build relationships with key media personnel and arrange interviews.- Analyst Relations: Support the execution of our AR strategy. Assist in preparing briefings and presentations for industry analysts. Coordinate meetings and follow-up activities with analysts to enhance our visibility and influence in the industry.- Content Creation: Collaborate on content development for various platforms including social media, newsletters, and our website to ensure consistent messaging across all channels.- Reporting and Analysis: Monitor media coverage and analyst reports, providing regular updates to the marketing team on both quantitative and qualitative outcomes.- Event Coordination: Assist in the organization of press and analyst meetings, including logistics, invitations, and content preparation.Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.- Proven experience in PR and/or AR roles, preferably in a cybersecurity company or an agency cybersecurity practice.- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce clear and compelling content.- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, external partners, and media/analysts.- Knowledge of the latest cybersecurity industry trends and techniques in public relations and analyst relations.
